Community Based Organisations

To support and increase the active participation of women at the community level, ASCS has formed Mahila Mandals all over the operational area. Regular meetings of Mahila Mandals are organised to enhance confidence among women. The members share their problems and issues and try to find out the solutions for the same.

Mahila Mandals are quite effective in addressing issues of the community. The mandal members raise issues of socio-economic and political nature. Issues being addressed are drainage systems, electricity, health, bridge repairing, panchayat bhawan constructions, girl education, loan repayment, dowry related issues, violence against women, old age pension, widow pension, below poverty line listing, drinking water related problems, etc.
Revolving fund has been created through the small savings of the members to support the poor and the disadvantaged section of the community. Loans are being disbursed on different income generation programme in the community.

Women SHGs have been formed to support disadvantaged women to meet their specific needs and ensuring their participation at all levels.

ASCS has been organising various training programmes on skill development, awareness camps and exposure visits to make them learn about the income generation activities at small scale. Training programmes are being organised on village development.
