Women Empowerment

ASCS is continuously identifying health workers, ANM and anganwadi workers, developing rapport with them, and make them aware of the work of the organisation and future intervention in the selected villages. Through this process the organisation identifies potential women who could be active village level volunteers and make them available for the village development process.
ASCS is forming women SHGs and training them to progress towards various income generation activities like vegetable cultivation, candle making, incense stick making, namkeen making, etc. The training programmes are aimed at building their capacities and raising their self confidence. The SHGs formed at the community level forms federations to address the issues of women atrocities and violence against them.
The organisation is supporting the disadvantaged women through the formation of Mahila Mandals and ensuring their active participation and involvement at all levels. The members share their problems and issues at the meetings and try to find out the solutions for the same.
To build the capacities of women, ASCS has been conducting various training programmes and make them aware about local self governance, women rights, roles and challenges of pradhan and women representatives in context with new Panchayati Raj Act and other information necessary for their all round development. These training programmes provide the women a platform to develop their capacities and leadership qualities. They are being informed of their roles and responsibilities. The training programmes also make the women aware of the government programmes for them.
ASCS has been continuously making celebrations on International Women Day every year, which witnesses the participation of people from different walks of life. It is being aimed at creating awareness among the women of their rights and duties.municipalities.
