Children Literacy

The organisation has ASCS initiated the balwadi programme in order to encourage children’s education and better parenting. It aims at developing the IQ levels in young children through teaching new things and new ways of learning and setting a stage for competence and coping skills among the children which affect learning, behaviour, and health throughout their life. It also aims at stronger commitment and recognition of the importance of early childhood development.

This programme is being run for the children in the age group 3-6 years. They are provided with the knowledge related to alphabets, numeric, tables, basic general knowledge, and knowledge related to habits and behaviour. The knowledge is being provided through play way method. These centres function as playground for the small kids where they learn while playing. The children learn through toys, games and other materials like storybooks and poems.

Anganwadi workers are provided with trainings and inputs on how to create children interests in the centre, innovative ways of teaching and personal hygiene. Anganwadi workers make regular visits to motivate parents to send their children to the centre and make them aware of cleanliness habits and personal hygiene making the children adopting good culture and habits.
